First Look at Jewel Twanging It Up as June Carter Cash

Last November, we asked the very important question — is Jewel playing June Carter Cash or not? It seemed the fate of the Lifetime biopic might be in peril, but we were wrong — it’s alive and well and here’s Jewel line dancing as proof.

Do you buy it? The singing is spot-on, but I can’t tell about the acting since she’s purposefully hamming it up as a young June Carter on stage with her first husband, Carl Smith. And finally: GIMME THOSE BOOTS.

The network will air Ring of Fire on Monday, May 27, at 8pm EST.
