After many rumors surrounding the all-female Ghostbusters remake, the official cast has been announced. Kate McKinnon! Leslie Jones! Melissa McCarthy! Kristen Wiig! Stop screaming!

We are satisfied. While McCarthy had long been considered for the lead role, the rest of the cast was still being solidified. According to The Hollywood Reporter:

Negotiations are ongoing but the quartet are expected to sign on as the specter-seeking, poltergeist-punishing and phantom-phollowing foursome in the reboot, which is eyeing a summer shoot in New York.

Seriously. I would've liked to see one other woman of color, but this is an amazing (SNL-heavy) lineup, nonetheless. Recall: Ghostbusters was originally supposed to be a reboot starring the original actors, including Dan Aykroyd, but the producers couldn't get Bill Murray to sign on. The whole project was re-envisioned for a cast of all women with Bridesmaid's Paul Feig directing. He's set it in stone with this tweet.
