Why would anyone call her selfish? Because she chose to pursue her craft with dedication and passion?

Characterizing Rubin's decision as selfish betrays an attitude towards pregnancy and women that says that once a woman is pregnant, her primary function is to incubate that fetus! And anything that interferes with that incubation is morally suspect. It's that sort of thinking that led to the Utah miscarriage legislation.

If women have the right to get an abortion, they also have the right to risk their own lives while pregnant, for whatever cause.
