Today on The View, the panel discussed a recent study indicating that late-in-life lesbianism is becoming more common. Elisabeth Hasselbeck has it all figured out: Older men are dating younger women, so older women are forced to go gay.
I'm kinda bummed (though not surprised) that no one brought up that sexuality is fluid, & instead of Joy's narrative of repressed lesbians finally finding the courage to express themselves, women find that element of their sexuality is conducive to their lifestyle & desires in their golden years. Women tend to for each other whereas in heterosexual relationships the care tend to flow in only one direction, especially later in life. Which is maybe what Elizabeth was trying to say & might have been able to express if she wasn't such a grade A nincompoop.
