DVF says she was inspired by Greece and by the dancer Isadora Duncan in formulating her spring 2011 collection. We'd add "a life of leisure," Pucci and her own back catalogue to that mix!
The Grecian influences were obvious. Sometimes, they were literal.
At other points, we were put in mind of a 1960s tourist making the grand tour in glorious technicolor!
Some streetwear was tailored, dashing and 60s-inflected.
Still other pieces seemed right out of the designer's early days.
Duncan dance may have been invoked by flowing fabrics and free-form shapes.
DVF has also, apparently, developed a passion for scrabble. It's hard to believe it didn't inform this!
