Amy Winehouse‘s family claims that not boozing may be what killed her. Family sources say she was advised to cut down on her drinking gradually, but instead she quit cold turkey, putting her body into shock. In a story that comes to us via the fairly disreputable British paper The Sun, family sources say she hadn’t had a drink in three weeks, and the dramatic withdrawal gave her a seizure. That’s a real thing, according to a doctor interviewed by the L.A. Times. [The Sun, LAT]

Kat Von D posted a message on Facebook titled “What can I say? I suck.” She notes that her relationship with Jesse James “sprung a lot of negativity from the outside world,” and adds, “Never planned on walking away from this relationship, let alone the timing of things.” [Kat Von D]
