If your idea of good Sunday escapism is living vicariously through the extravagant wealth of others, then please, turn your attention to these photos of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s newly purchased $26 million home in East Hampton.
According to the real estate website Trulia:
Measuring 12,000 square feet, the estate is located on an elevated two-acre site with 203-feet of direct water space on Georgica Pond. But if that’s not enough space for ya, it’s also adjacent to a 17-acre meadow preserve, where we’re guessing Beyonce will pose for photos while holding her new babies Sir and Rumi while wearing a flower crown.
The 100-year-old structure, designed by noted architect Stanford White, was meticulously renovated and enlarged to combine old world craftsmanship with state-of-the-art modern amenities. And here’s a fun tidbit: According to the listing, the current owner carefully rotated the original house 90 degrees so the historic triple-height studio room (which faced north) is now a 30-feet high living room looking west over the pond. That probably cost a pretty penny!
Here are some shots of place.
Ew.
Gross.
Yawn.
This dump is just the pair’s latest acquisition, having also just bought a home in Los Angeles for $88 million. They’ve also got a home in New Orleans, another in Manhattan, and as of this summer, they’re renting out their Malibu spot for a cool $54 million.
It’s fine, they’ll probably invite us all over any day now.
