In 2015, it is so hot to be Carly. Carly Fiorina is a Republican presidential candidate who actually knows how to talk; Carly Rae Jepsen is a human Bratz doll who kind of knows how to sing. Finally, a Tumblr has combined two powerful Carlys into one über-Carly, a Carly to rule them all.

“Both Carlys (who couldn’t be more different!) are having a moment simulatenously,” said the Tumblr’s creator Patrick D’Arcy, a New York-based writer who is very coincidentally also my friend. “Fiorina has a severity about her, and she’s been so serious in the debates, so it’s funny to contrast her with Carly Rae Jepsen’s bubblegum pop lyrics about looking for and being in love.”
