Bristol, Levi Break Their Fairytale Engagement

After its brief moment in the warm glow of an Us Weekly photoshoot, Levi and Bristol’s engagement is now over. The cause: an ex, though not the pregnant one. Oh, and Facebook.

According to E! (via Wonkette) the problem with Bristol and Levi’s otherwise totally advisable re-engagement was not Levi’s pregnant ex Lanesia Garcia (who apparently insists the baby isn’t his). Rather, it was Briana Plum, who has a name worthy of a YA novel but is apparently a real person who dated Levi one time and recently appeared in — horrors — a Facebook photo with him. A source tells E!, “There was an interview with her and Bristol wasn’t happy about some of the things said. There was also some picture on Facebook of him and Briana and Bristol just said, ‘Let’s hold off on the engagement.'”

What can we learn here, kids?

1. Palin time moves at triple-speed.

Sarah Palin can write a book in, like, two seconds. Her daughter can break up, have a kid, get engaged, and break up again in the blink of an eye. At this rate we’ll have a Palin presidency by mid-2011.

2. Don’t get back together with your exes.

Or if you do, maybe hold off on that Us Weekly cover shoot for a bit. Unless, of course, the shoot is what you wanted in the first place…

3. Facebook ruins everything.
