Blake Lively Is Launching a 'Life Curating' Company, Whatever That Is

Latest

Blake Lively, an actress perhaps best known for her lauded role in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 (does anyone know what she’s been up to since? Just curious.), has just announced a plan to launch her own company.

What is her company, exactly? Let Blake describe it for you via an interview with British Vogue, in a sentence that sounds like a Mad Lib filled in by Chloe Sevigny and an animate lump of quinoa wearing a dreamcatcher as a necklace:

The main element of it is that it’s about storytelling and it’s about living a very one-of-a-kind, curated life, and how to achieve that.

Ah, yes, storytelling. Living a curated life. We’ve all been there. I just finished curating a bagel myself.

As anyone who’s been harangued over the Internet by the persistent cyber-spirit of a very beautiful and famous blond actress has noticed, it sounds a lot like GOOP (i.e., whimsical aspirational stuff concocted by the ethereal pizza-oven-owners of the universe). But Blake Lively claims that “there’s nothing like it out there — it’s without a genre.”

What other things do we know about the once and future company? Well, Blake says, “I have so many passions outside of acting and things that I grew up being good at and that I don’t utilise when acting… there was so much that I cultivated, thinking that I wouldn’t be an actor.” So this company will function as Blake Lively’s Foster Home for Abandoned Blake Lively Talents, maybe? A sponsored BuzzFeed list entitled “10 Things You Didn’t Know Blake Lively Was Really Good At”? Only time will tell.
