Beyoncé and Giuseppe Zanotti​ Are Working On a Shoe

Beyoncé is partnering with Giuseppe Zanotti on a shoe—not a collection, just “one shoe only,” he says.

In an interview with Forbes, Giuseppe went into detail about the collaboration. Bey and Z have known each other since her Destiny’s Child days, and he previously supplied Beyoncé with custom heels for her Mrs. Carter World Tour.

According to the Forbes author, the sketch that Giuseppe showed him looks like “thick platform stilettos.” The designer says:

“Beyoncé has very clear ideas – she knows exactly what she wants. The thing which she then also has over other celebrities, is that she has an amazing voice. She’s incredibly talented and she’s an amazing dancer – she’s complete. Few are like Beyoncé. I’m working on finalizing the shoe with her stylist right now. And Beyoncé will then say what she likes and what she doesn’t like. It will be one shoe only.”

I’m sure he means a pair of shoes, but I choose to believe that he and Beyoncé are creating just one spectacular shoe that would be used for mantel display purposes only and never be worn.

The price will likely be in the bajillions (or thousands), similar to Giuseppe’s “Cruel Summer” sandals with Kanye West, which cost $6,000.

Giuseppe is also re-teaming with Kid Cudi to work on another shoe and a backpack that, he says, “has a micro chip and memory card inside of it. It’s able to carry all things necessary for a trip into the future.”
