Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Went to a Sport Game & Had a Nice Time

I don’t know why I am suddenly so invested in Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s post-separation relationship. Do I believe in the power of eternal love? Am I thirsting for a good redemption story? Am I still holding out hope for Daredevil 2? Probably all of the above! Either way, I was very taken by this E! News report detailing Affleck and Garner’s trip to Saturday night’s World Series game in Los Angeles, to root for Affleck’s beloved Boston Red Sox. Affleck smiled, the Sox won, and everyone seemed very (or almost) happy.

Both E! News and People say the ever-divorcing couple brought their three kids to Game 4 of the Dodgers/Red Sox series, which ended with a 9 to 6 win for the Sox. Affleck wore a hat:

I do not like the Red Sox, but I was deeply scarred by Mrs. Doubtfire, and so I do like family outings and Garner’s dedication to making sure her kids still get to see their father. I also like this piece of news, via E!:

Meanwhile, the Camping star has been linked to John Miller, a 40-year-old CEO. According to a source, Miller and Garner have been “hanging out” recently. Another source told E! News, “Ben is happy when Jen is happy. They have a really strong relationship. They will continue to co-parent and support each other.”

Everybody gets along, everybody gets to move on, everyone gets Cracker Jax and a novelty ice cream helmet! World Series season is the best.
