Last night in New York the ladies of Girls hit the red carpet for the premiere of the HBO show's third season. The clothes? Lots of little black dresses, some funky florals, Anna Wintour in her de rigueur fur and one epic, sexy, slinky slip dress. Let's take a look!

First some guys: designer Christian Siriano in a deconstructed tux look; designer Zac Posen in a gorgeous coat; New Girl actor Max Greenfield doing his best Jordan Catalano.

Questlove of The Roots covering his fro! Steve Buscemi in business casual. Actor Andrew Rannells sharp in blues. Community's Joel McHale working a scarf.

Vivid blue hues: Velvet for actor Anna Chlumsky, denim and dots for actor Gaby Hoffman.

Foxy in figure-fitting black: Orange Is The New Black stars Natasha Lyonne and Danielle Brooks.

More chic LBDs: relaxed and easy for SNL actor Vanessa Bayer (with contrasty shoes!); befeathered for designer Nanette Lepore, sleek sequins for Boardwalk Empire actor Margot Bingham.

Funky fur on the inimitable Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Quirky prints on the incomparable rock legend Kim Gordon.

Flowery print frocks: comedian Amy Schumer, stylist June Ambrose, model/singer Karen Elson.

Brightening things up: A bedazzled Nicky Hilton and a bosom-revealing Tracy Anderson.

The asymmetrical, open-back silky dress on jewelry designer/socialite Genevieve Jones is fun, but seems better suited to spring?

Supermodel Karlie Kloss is beautiful in bright white, but is that hemline too low? Seems ever so slightly awkward. The strapless gown on How I Met Your Mother's Cristin Milioti is pretty, but it's her eyebrows and lipcolor that are stealing the show. Yowza.

January Polar Vortex-appropriate trousers (though not footwear): model Hilary Rhoda, J. Crew creative director (and Girls guest star) Jenna Lyons.

So… Of all the main castmembers, liking Lena Dunham's dress the least. Sparkly and fun and yet! Something is off. Neckline too high? Armholes weirdly scooped? Unsure. The hair and makeup are fab, however.

Zosia Mamet rocks a teeny tiny black dress and bold gold cuffs, looks great.

WANT. PLEASE. Can anyone spare $800?

Allison Williams' ice blue frock encrusted with sparkly stones is sweet and proper and refined. Amazing hair bauble game.

But my vote for best look of the evening goes to Jemima Kirke in a stunning slinky retro slipdress straight out of your Myrna Loy silver screen dreams. An email informs me this is a one-of-a-kind, vintage Geminola; Jemima's mother, Lorraine Kirke, founded the NYC based fashion line in 2004. So you can't get one. Time to cry into your hoodie and fug Uggs.
