Australian Woman On Murdered Husband: "His Penis Should Belong To Me"

Earlier this month, an Australian woman torched her own home, causing $700,000 worth of damage and the death of her husband when she tried to light his penis on fire.

Rajini Narayan, a self-confessed “jealous wife,” told neighbors that she suspected her husband was having an affair. After pouring menthylated spirit onto his genitals and setting them on fire, Narayan told neighbors (some of whom had homes damaged in the aftermath) that “his penis should belong to me, I just wanted to burn his penis so it belongs to me and no one else.” She claims that she never expected the fire to spread, and that she only wanted his penis to burn.

Narayan was remanded to police custody until last Friday. Prosecutors told the court that Narayan should not be released on bail without an extensive psychological assessment. Lucy Boord, representative of the Crown, says that Narayan “poses a substantial risk to others given her flagrant offending.” Her husband, a 47-year-old engineer, died from his injuries last week. Narayan now faces murder charges.
