Jezebel readers!

MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry is one of the premier thinkers of our time and we are opening this post up to questions for her.

In addition to hosting the Melissa Harris-Perry show on weekends, Harris-Perry is also professor of political science at Tulane University. There she is the founding director of the Anna Julia Cooper Project on Gender, Race, and Politics in the South. She previously served on the faculties of the University of Chicago and Princeton University and she’s written two successful books, Sister Citizen: Shame, Stereotypes, and Black Women in America and Barbershops, Bibles, and BET: Everyday Talk and Black Political Thought. She’s also begun a Nerdland Challenge surrounding motherhood and politics, and as you may know, recently welcomed a new baby girl into her family with her husband and older daughter.

So, we are taking questions from you, our readers, today for Dr. Harris-Perry to answer so make sure they’re good! After you submit your queries, we will choose between 8-15 for her to answer and then post her replies. Are you ready?
