Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Coming to the States or What?

Latest

A simple yes or no will do! But all I get are “sources” and signs from tabloids. Not the confirmation I crave. You see I need to know so that I can plan my own vacation…from the Internet.

The rumors were sparked by Wednesday’s Us Weekly cover story, in which a source claimed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are planning a trip to the United States (and maybe Canada?) sometime in the spring of 2019. Reportedly, the couple hasn’t gotten fully underway with the planning yet because they already have their first full-scale overseas trip coming up in October to Australia and New Zealand.

Nonetheless, Us Weekly’s source insists, “They are so excited to head to the U.S.…they are thinking New York, Washington, D.C., and California.” This source even claims to know that the couple will stay in San Francisco where “they will meet CEOs and female tech entrepreneurs to encourage their involvement in the industry.” Also, according to the source, they might visit Chicago, for the Obama Foundation.

But then, Vanity Fair made the strong point that this report is not based in committed fact, the kind I can plan a trip upon.

“The royal-related rumors—particularly Meghan-related ones—come fast and furious these days, so it’s hard to know exactly how seriously to take this report. A trip that involves stops in New York City, D.C., San Francisco, Chicago, and Canada, seems somewhat insane; on the other hand, they will surely visit the U.S. at some point soon, especially since Meghan is from here.”

Yes, I think it’s safe to say that they will visit soon. Hopefully a new development in this story will break with haste!
