Anthony Weiner has entered rehab for sex addiction, reports the Daily Mail, which broke the news that Anthony Weiner was aware that a girl he was sexting was underage, leading to an FBI investigation of his computers that’s currently posing a threat to our very democracy.

There isn’t much info on the specifics of the facility he has allegedly entered, except for what you might expect from a place where people are trying to control their digital urges:

The rehab center where Weiner is being treated separates men and women and its program includes counseling for those addicted to cybersex and exhibitionism as well as addictions to anonymous sex and porn.

Hard to say if the Daily Mail will continue to nail these Weiner exclusives, but it would make sense for him to enter “rehab” as a strategy to avoid investigations and press, much like Josh Duggar supposedly did when he was exposed by the Ashley Madison hack. In a statement to the Daily Mail, Weiner said, “I have repeatedly demonstrated terrible judgement about the people I have communicated with online and the things I have sent. I am filled with regret and heartbroken for those I have hurt.”

people are going to mock him, but sex addiction is very real, and i don’t have a hard time believing he suffers from it. look at all the stuff he continues to do regardless of consequences and the havoc it’s caused in his life.
