Abercrombie & Fitch is willing to offer a “substantial payment” for the cast of Jersey Shore to stop wearing their clothes. The brand worries that the “association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image. We understand that the show is for entertainment purposes, but believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans.” Because seeing The Situation wearing an A&F-branded t-shirt is so much less disturbing than that padded swimsuit for little girls. Sources say that along with the wedding invitation, guests were given a strict dress code: “Kim knows better than anyone how to stay dramatic and there is no way she would let herself blend in with everyone else at her wedding by wearing a white dress. If I know her, I bet she will wear red or some color so she pops against everyone else who will be in black or white.” [HuffPo]
