Well, this is interesting. The director best known for perming Bradley Cooper's hair is making a television show. ABC has ordered 13 episodes of an untitled drama from David O. Russell and the writer of Erin Brockovich, Susannah Grant.

Little is known about the details of the project, but Deadline reports that it's "an upstairs/downstairs soap set at a private country club." So will it look like Mistresses? Or Dirty Sexy Money? Or Revenge? Or Desperate Housewives? Or Big Shots? Or will it be more in keeping with The Good Wife or Hart of Dixie or perhaps even NCIS because it's being produced by CBS Studios?

The sky is the limit David! Let yourself be inspired by the remakes of Melrose Place and Dallas while you prepare to wallow in the muck of television. And bring some big stars when you finally do.

Actually, I would say David O. Russell is better known for any one of his excellent films over the past 20 years, or for being literally insane. Not so much that perm thing.

Strike two, Kate Dries. I had almost forgotten about how you called the Great Kyle MacLachlan "Trey MacDougal," instead of the appropriate reference, "Special Agent Dale Cooper."
