President Obama on Leno Tonight: 'Rape Is Rape. It Is a Crime.'

Latest

When Leno asked President Obama what he thought about Indiana’s GOP Senate candidate Richard Mourdock’s statement, “I think even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen.”

Obama came correct, and no nonsense. He said, “I don’t know how these guys come up with these ideas… Rape is rape. It is a crime. And so, these various distinctions about rape don’t make too much sense to me, don’t make any sense to me.”

He goes on to say, “This is exactly why you don’t want a bunch of politicians, mostly male, making decisions about women’s health care decisions.”

YES, thank you. That is my president. And yeah, it’s really sad that this is something that even needs to be said, but it’s where we are as a country, and so it needs to said often and loudly.

Unsurprisingly, Romney is still supporting Mourdock, which I think tells you more about Romney than it does about that idiot. Actually, it tells you everything you need to know about the whole disgusting shebang.
