This is NOT body snark, just a question.

Is it very common for gymnastics, specifically, to gain weight when they stop training? I remember seeing pictures of Dominique Moceanu and Shannon Miller after they stopped competing and they both had put on a lot of weight. Why is this different from other athletes?
