Your First Annie Music Parody is Here: Behold 'It's A Freelance Life'

Well, it was inevitable. The music parodies of the not-t0-be-released-for-another-ten-months film Annie are already trickling in, and so far the film seems to be inspiring comedy greatness.

This parody of "It's a Hard Knock Life" from the folks at Garlic Jackson Comedy tackles all the frustrations and quirks of living the "Freelance Life" (i.e. being mostly unemployed and surrounded by friends and family who desperately wonder when you're going to get a "real job"). "Weekday drinking life," is pretty much my life motto, too.

Plus, the singing is good for a bunch of struggling comics and writers. I'm impressed, y'all.

(Freelancers—holler at Burt if you can relate)

You're lucky if you can afford to JUST freelance. No "bartending until 4 a.m. the day before...trying to write my screenplay, but I just snore"? Okay, clearly I'm no good at writing these. But yeah, as someone who was unemployed and freelanced myself, I was lucky I could survive on student loans until I DID find a job. Yes, I'm that girl. "Privilege, bla bla bla."
