In an interview with Good Morning America, Dominique Strauss-Kahn's accuser Nafissatou "Nafi" Diallo again gave details of Strauss-Kahn's alleged assault, and reaffirmed that, contrary to reports by the New York Post, she's not a prostitute. It remains unclear whether going public will help Diallo's now-embattled case, but watching her reenact her account of what took place in DSK's Sofitel room is viscerally disturbing.
The prostitute thing was preposterous from the beginning. Like, am I supposed to believe that Sofitel, a large multinational corporation, is running pretty much a whorehouse, by hiring chambermaids that sexually service guests on the job? WTF? In the words of the late great Winehouse, what kind of fuckery is this?
I've stayed in Sofitels and was never offered sexual favors when the housecleaning services came by.
