Watch Reese Witherspoon Enthusiastically Belt 'Random Phrase Carols'

Gather round, Internet as Reese Witherspoon teaches us how to up-talk while questionably singing Christmas carols. Because Christmas, that's why.

On The Tonight Show, the Wild actress played a good sport and agreed to sing "random phrase carols" with host Jimmy Fallon, where all of the words from classic carols like "Silent Night" had been changed to nonsense phrases like "Slimey toad, bumpy toad." For Reese, not only were the new lyrics a toughie, but so was staying on key. But, you know, holidays aren't about singing like you're still performing in Walk The Line—where it seemed like she could actually hold a note—they're about the spirit, right? I'll keep telling myself that too.

My aunt and i were watching the CMA Christmas Concert on ABC the other night and some country guy i don't know was singining "Walking in a winter wonderland" Well, he changed the part from "Until the other kiddes knock him down" to "Until the alligators knock him down". My aunt thought it was kind of a weird change, i figured it was just to make it more country, ignoring the logicial disconnect of alligators in a snowy climate. Now that being said, that is still one of the oddest Christmas songs ever. They make a snowman, he comes to life and asks the kids if they're married? WTH?
