Watch Anna Kendrick Be a Mess in the Trailer for Happy Christmas

If you were a fan of Joe Swanberg‘s Drinking Buddies (especially because of its spot-on depiction of the craft beer scene in Chicago), you’ll line up for the wide release of his new movie Happy Christmas, starring Anna Kendrick with an assist from Lena Dunham.

In Happy Christmas, Kendrick plays Swanberg’s younger sister who moves in with him, his wife (Melanie Lynskey) and their baby after she breaks up with her boyfriend. While we’re used to seeing Kendrick either as uptight (Up in the Air, 50/50) or with a chip on her shoulder (Pitch Perfect), in this film she’s just a mess, flailing along drinking too much while hanging out with her best friend (Dunham) and flirting with the babysitter (Mark Webber). When the movie premiered at Sundance in January it got some mixed reviews but the baby looks very cute.
