Now that her daughter Britney has been removed from her custody, Kerry Campbell has finally realized that injecting her 8-year-old with botox is profoundly fucked up.

Campbell spoke to The Sun, which is how her ordeal began. She says saying:

"I cannot put into words the remorse I feel. I am going to seek therapy for my obsession with looks so I will no longer push my insecurities about appearance on to her ... I will not use Botox on her ever again. I honestly felt I was helping her. I regret doing it and remain committed to being a good mother and being reunited with my daughter."

She explains she was so consumed with making Britney a star that she didn't realize what she was doing, and adds:

"I have been hounded and become a hate figure, which I probably deserve. But I want to take this opportunity to apologize to the world for my mistake. I vow never to give her Botox again."

But! An anonymous family member tells The Sun:

"Kerry is a fantastic mother and she was simply trying to give her daughter a leg-up. Britney has shown absolutely no ill effects from the treatment and has always been a happy child. To say she is being abused is plain ridiculous."

Looks like someone didn't get the memo that we're now in full mea culpa mode.

Besides how awful it is to give your child botox, I can't wrap my mind around how the mother even had such a hold on this child that the child would allow her to do this. At 8 years old I would still weep when I had to get a shot at the doctors. My sibling was worse and would basically have to be pinned down in order to have blood taken, screams heard throughout the medical suite. 8 shots in the FACE! Hell no.
