TMZ does a regular feature where they post a celebrity’s baby photo and have readers guess the celebrity. Today’s was wrong.
TMZ’s headline: “Guess Who This Chubby Little Child Turned Into!”
“Not John Legend,” I scoffed.
If you guessed “John Legend’s internet-famous baby doppelgänger who will one day turn into an adult who looks like John Legend,” like I did, then you’re right.
That baby isn’t John Legend. But the baby does look familiar because we’ve seen him on the internet before.
A true journalist, I brought this to my boyfriend’s attention on Twitter (I lost his number…) and he responded.
TMZ has since updated the photo. TMZ, wrong on babies.
TMZ, please practice better journalism.
