FEMA is on the ground there right now and the military has begun limited search and rescue operations, but Trump himself doesn’t appear to be as, let’s say, passionate about this hurricane as he was about Harvey and Irma—now, why could that possibly be?—and the governor has called for a greater response from the U.S. government. - Speaking of people paying attention to the exact wrong thing, let’s move on to the GOP’s flailing, astonishingly cruel last-ditch effort to repeal Obamacare: Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) said that it will be “nearly impossible” to push Graham-Cassidy forward at this point, amid certain no votes from Sens. Rand Paul and John McCain and likely opposition from Sen.
