Remember when George Clooney found out three men in Italy were going into business with a supposed George Clooney fashion line called "GC Exclusive," and using his name and image to market it? To bolster their claims of association with Clooney, they took a picture of themselves with a different man, and Photoshopped the actor's head onto his body. Clooney charmed the court during his 90-minute trial testimony, not least when he said that you could tell the pictures were doctored because "I don't smoke and I don't wear that watch...I also don't wear long jean shorts."
Well, today in Milan, the three people convicted of perpetrating the fraud — Vanja Goffi, Galdelli, and Vincenzo Cannalire — were sentenced respectively to 3 years and 10 months, 3 years and 6 months, and 1 year and 10 months in jail.
Moral of the story? Don't mess with George Clooney. If you make it look as if he wears long jean shorts and a cheap watch, dude will cut you.
