Attention, lovers of the stage! The 71st Tony Awards are being held tonight, and this open thread is your place to discuss everything from Cate Blanchett’s performance in The Present to Kevin Spacey’s monologue to why Andrew Rannells is perfect.

If you’re still riding the Hamilton wave—and there’s no shame in that—you’ll be pleased to know that the original Aaron Burr (sir), Leslie Odom Jr., is performing tonight. And presenters include Lin-Manuel Miranda, Taraji P. Henson, Anna Kendrick, and Allison Janney.

The ceremony begins at 8 p.m. EST, but red carpet coverage began at 5 p.m. You can brush up on the nominees and other various and sundry details at the official Tony Awards website.

Have a blast!

Like, I see you CBS, trying to get me to subscribe to All Access and forget to unsubscribe just to watch the Tonys. 😒 I will not be tricked!!
