The Notebook Is Headed to TV, Just Like You Asked

The Notebook—a Nicholas Sparks novel that became a movie that everyone slobbers over—is in development as a TV series on CW.

Hollywood doesn’t care that you didn’t ask for this. The show is still in pilot phase and hasn’t officially been green-lit. Sparks is executive producing.

Here’s the description via EW:

This series will follow the romantic journey of the two beloved central characters Noah and Allie, at the outset of their blossoming relationship as they build their lives and their future together against the backdrop of the racial politics, economic inequities, and social mores of post-World War II of the late 1940s in North Carolina.
