The Night Belongs To Christina Applegate

Well folks, it’s been fun, but now it’s time to say good night — and to toast Christina Applegate, who turns 40 today. Some of you may be fans of her work in Married … With Children, or her more recent film career, but my favorite Applegate role has always been her turn as Sue Ellen Crandell in Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead.

Other famous people with birthdays today include Joe DiMaggio, Times columnist Gail Collins, and the Bush twins. A glass of leftover Thanksgiving wine for all!
