The Ex Who Big Sean Bashes On 'No More Interviews' Rhymes With Schmaya Schmivera

It’s a funny and petty thing when famous musicians express bitter feelings about their real-life exes in songs. In the case of Big Sean, who released the single “No More Interviews” today, the song’s apparent references to his ex-fiancée Naya Rivera seem to be a direct response to her lovely words about him in her tell-all.

Sean gets a number of things off his chest on the record, including his thoughts about a certain ex who shall not be named:

“And you know the funny thing about it is my ex wanna write a tell-all/ Fucked up thing about it is she ain’t even tell all/ Like how I introduced her to meditation, positive thinking/ And the books she probably read in daily rotation”

True, why didn’t she write about the meditation? He also raps:

“So I won’t get you embarrassed/ I won’t tell them the other parts of you that’s plastic/ This my last time putting my ex in a song even though my last one went triple platinum”

That song he’s referring to is his crass kiss-off anthem “I Don’t Fuck With You.” The “plastic” line is for sure a low blow and there’s no way Rivera isn’t responding to this in some fashion. This is the same person who used a portion of her book, Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes and Growing Up (released in September) to reminisce about her relationship with Sean (who’s now dating singer Jhené Aiko), describing him as “an incredibly selfish person.”

Most notably, there’s another part in the book where Rivera recalls seeing Ariana Grande (who dated Sean after Rivera and is now reportedly seeing rapper Mac Miller, and... how did we get here?). Rivera writes:

We’d been fighting for five straight days while he was traveling, and then on the one day that he was back in L.A., he said he didn’t want to see me. Well, a‑‑hole, I’ve got a key to your house. I walk in, go downstairs, and guess what little girl is sitting cross-legged on the couch listening to music? C’mon, people, I’m not going to tell you, but you can guess because it’s not that hard! (It rhymes with “Smariana Schmande,” if you’re really having a hard time.)

Wonder who Big Sean is talking about in his song. At any rate, hey guys, you can use your phones to talk about stuff.
