The BBC has announced “The Sixth In Line to be King and I,” a musical comedy about the life of Meghan Markle and whoever that guy is that she married. I’m sorry to report that it is a radio program, though, so we, unfortunately, will not be treated to a huge Busby Berkeley-style climax.

The Telegraph reported:

Radio 4’s 15 Minute Musical has turned its sights to the Duchess, with a “Rodgers and Hammerstein-inspired” comedy broadcast confirmed for the Christmas schedule.

It will see radio actors “look ahead to what promises to be an exciting 2019 for the happy royal couple as they expect their first child in the spring”, in what is described as an “inspired celebration of Meghan Markle’s life to date”.

For a taste of the style of comedy we’re talking about, previous episodes include “The Legend of Holy Superior Mother Theresa May and the Magic Money Tree” and also “Cabarexit,” which turned the referendum “into a sexy, sassy, sensationalised, sublime sounding musical.”

“Kensington Palace were not consulted on the contents of the musical,” the Telegraph noted. Surely they are going to love it and won’t be at all offended. It will air on New Year’s Day.

I’m turning into a “Leave Britney Alooooone!” voice as it relates to Marckle. Goddamn, let that woman live. She’s been in the UK for a whole entire second and the tabloids and media already have her in feuds and are giving her crazy family inordinate amounts of press and now this. Jeeze. I see why Diane was like “Nope!”
