The Backstreet Boys Are Headed to Las Vegas to Fulfill Your Wildest Gen X Dreams

Gen X’ers rejoice; the Backstreet boys are joining Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey in Las Vegas for a potential residency. JK, J.Lo and Mimi probably won’t let any of those guys speak to them but yes, all three acts will be in the same city.

According to Variety, Nick Carter, brother of Aaron “everyone’s praying for me” Carter, shared that the guys have a new venture on the horizon.

“We have a deal with Live Nation, the touring company, and we just signed a nine-show deal to do a test run in Vegas with a residency, so that’s definitely going to happen, but we’re going to do a trial run first,” Carter said.

Variety also confirms the most important detail—that Kevin Richardson, aka the hottest Backstreet Boy, will be on stage for the Vegas residency set to begin in late 2016 or the top of 2017. I know you were concerned.

“We’re definitely in the studio recording a brand new album. We’re gonna do a world tour first,” he said.

Now we just need like, a Kurt Cobain hologram and we’ll be set. I am kidding—please no more holograms.

Gen Xers are too old for all of these acts. This is definitely for the older millennial sect like myself thanks.

My gen X sister grew up with NKOTB and Madonna. Remember, Xers are all pushin’, if not already, in their 40s
