Teens Charged in Awful Ice Bucket Challenge Attack on Autistic Teen

In August, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge (remember that?) took a very dark turn when a video was posted of a teenager with autism tricked into being drenched with a bucket full of feces, cigarette butts, and water. Now five teens have been charged in connection to the incident.

The victim’s mother found the video of the attack (which apparently is a prank), and police had been working to find the teens who orchestrated this horrifying thing. Raw Story reports:

Three of the teens were charged with two counts of delinquency, assault, and disorderly conduct, and they were ordered to turn themselves in to police.
Two other teens were charged with one count each of disorderly conduct.
All of the teens, who are between 14 and 16 years old, were charged as juveniles.

The family of the victim is satisfied with the charges. Here’s hoping those punks actually understand how disgusting their actions were and genuinely regret treating another human being as horribly as they did.
