I don't understand how, in this day and age, people still talk about marriage like it's this ~*mAgIcAl*~ ceremony that Changes Everything. Seriously, Megan Fox? The best thing you've ever done? I'm sure it's lovely, and I'm happy for you, but it's a legal contract, and the sexual revolution already happened.

Marriage is the only legal contract that you hear people talk about this way. You don't hear people gushing about how happy they are that they finally signed that Do Not Resuscitate medical care directive or how lovely it is to have a mortgage.
