Ugh, tag was the bane of my elementary school existence. Seems like everybody wanted to play tag on the playground, and I hated all that running around. And I hated being chased—made me anxious. So I effectively hid out on the swings instead.
One day I did play tag, and my teacher noticed and gave me a sticker after recess—said she was proud of me.
I was so mortified to know that she had been watching me. I never played tag again.
