It's confusing, whatever is going on at NBC. The fourth season of Community was supposed to premiere on October 19; now it's been pushed back. TBD. No one knows. As if fans weren't already on edge about this show possibly being canceled. But this is good news? Says NBC? From The Hollywood Reporter:

"Given the success we've had for the past four weeks — including winning the first week of the season in adults 18-49 — we've decided to continue to concentrate our promotional strength on our new NBC shows that are scheduled Monday through Wednesday and have therefore decided to hold Community and Whitney from their previously announced premieres of Oct. 19," NBC said in a statement. "Without having to launch these comedies on Friday at this time, we can keep our promotion focused on earlier in the week; plus, we will have both comedies in our back pocket if we need to make any schedule changes on those nights. When we have a better idea of viewing patterns in the next few weeks, we will announce new season premieres of Whitney and Community."

It's cool that the network wants to be able to give the show a marketing push, it's just that there have been so many rumors and kerfuffles, a viewer can start to get nervous. Also, even though it gets lumped together with Community in all of the newslinks below, can we just ignore the fact that Whitney is coming back? Thanks.

Ari Schwartz: Dark Lord of the Snark

I must be the only online person who never completely attached to this show. I like it, sure, but once it got absurd to the point where the characters no longer seemed to have any motivations (does he even want to still be a lawyer anymore?), I just lost interest.

Not that I don't appreciate the show, but I feel like I'm in some alternate dimension of apathy regarding the show.
