With Thanksgiving almost upon us and turkeys and pie lurking everywhere, it's very important that we don't hurt ourselves. Thankfully, this past Wednesday, William Shatner joined up with State Farm Insurance to explain, at length, how not to set yourself on fire when deep frying a turkey. But the real way to keep yourself safe is to make friends with your turkey. Don't you agree?

Sadly, someone stole my turkey friend. See William Shatner expertly fry it here.

My turkey friend's name was Lola. I like to talk to my turkey as I prepare him or her every year because it feels less awkward when I reach up into his or her bodily cavity or massage his or her breasts.

We ate Lola on Saturday.
