In a letter she wrote for Teen Vogue a few months ago addressed to her teenage self, Solange admitted that, like so many high-schoolers, she dove “head first without looking” into phases without being certain of who she really was. And one of those phases was “Rasta-vegan-thrifter-who-is-determined-to-marry-Brandon-Boyd phase.”
This was well documented before her Teen Vogue letter. You can actually catch an Incubus poster in the video for her 2002 song “Feelin You,” of which she has said “I may or may have not have written this song about Brandon Boyd.”
