Sob: Taylor Kitsch (A.K.A Tim Riggins) Refuses to do a FNL Movie

Taylor Kitsch had a very strong negative reaction when Vulture asked whether he'd consider reprising his role as Tim Riggins — fullback of our hearts — for a hypothetical Friday Night Lights movie.

"I'll just say no. [Slams fist on table.] No, period. I'm not doing it. I'm never gonna be in that movie. There was already a movie! And the show ended fuckin' spot-on. We're good."

Safe to assume Kitsch then sat back on his Igloo cooler, pushed the sweaty long hair from his eyes and took a swig of beer before staring off longingly into the Texas sunset.

Don't let Riggins crush your hopes for a Friday Night Lights movie. Let showrunner Peter Berg do that instead! As the director told Collider, "There's not gonna be a movie. We talked about it, some people thought it was a good idea, some didn't; I've come to believe it's probably not a good idea and I seriously doubt it's gonna happen."

You know, as much as I love FNL, I think Berg and Kitsch are probably right. Clear eyes, full hearts.

After years of hearing about the wonder of FNL, I finally decided to give it a try. And I had to stop watching about halfway through season one—not because I didn't like it, but because I LOVE IT TOO MUCH. I was not prepared to get that emotionally involved with those characters. No one told me that I'd have to watch Matt Saracen sing to his grandma. And no one warned me how much I'd want to rescue Tim Riggins. I CANNOT HANDLE IT.
