New Yorkers pass the mural by Puerto Rican artist Sofia Maldonado called ‘42nd Street Mural‘ March 11, 2010 drawn on the side of a construction fence on 42nd Street in Times Square. The 92-foot-long (28-meter) mural draws on her Cuban and Puerto Rican heritage and her personal interests with fashion trends, the Latina female aesthetic, and various street culture elements such as skateboarding, graffiti, and music.
