Yet another reason Sesame Street is awesome: In the recently-aired segment "I Love My Hair," a brown muppet girl sings about how much she loves her hair, whether it's natural, braided, or in an Afro.

I'm in the process of "going natural" at this moment and I'm squeeing with sunshine and rainbows all over because this couldn't have come at a better time! I was literally just playing with my hair wondering how long it'd take until I can cut off all of my straightened hair (about 16 inches worth).

I got my first perm when I was 11 and I so wish I knew what texturizers, hot oil treatments, and olive oil were all about! If I ever have a daughter, she will have the best hair regimen everrrr and she'll be natural forever! ...Or so I can hope.

We've come so far from the days of Madame CJ Walker, and I love the fact that now I actually have to spend time taking care of my hair. I'm looking and feeling better, all the while saving money!
