Selena Gomez (And Taylor Swift) Felt So Many FEEEEEEELINGS at the AMAs

Selena Gomez took to the stage of the American Music Awards Sunday night to perform her new single about Justin Bieber, “The Heart Wants What It Wants.” Gomez got pretty worked up by the end of her performance, and was joined in near-tears by bestie Taylor Swift. The two delivered a display of emotion not seen at an awards show since Miley Cyrus cried about homelessness at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Selena performed against a backdrop of some really beautiful stock photos, fog rolling in across the stage.

But she didn’t get truly worked up until the end, when she took a moment to thank Jesus, presumably for allowing her performance to go well.

Despite her noted hatred of Justin Bieber, Taylor found the whole thing very moving.
