In disappointing news, season two of Smash, one of the most entertaining (or at least silliest) shows on NBC these days, doesn't kick off until the cold and distant future time of February 5th. But turn that frown upside down, Smash Heads! The show was nice enough to put out this jam-packed teaser trailer to whet your appetite. Season two is looking pretty exciting — Karen has shed her wide-eyed, aw-shucks ingénue routine in favor of being top bitch, Ivy is at the bottom and trying to crawl her way back up, Debra Messing is crying, Ellis is gone, Newsies' Jeremy is providing some additional sex appeal and — NO NO NO NO WAY — the luminous Jennifer Hudson is there, too! And that's not even mentioning appearances by Bernadette Peters and Liza Minnelli. Ladies, gentleman, Bombshell is going to Broadway.

Wow, just looking at Karen's face brought back all the haaaaaaate I felt last season. I like the idea of Jennifer Hudson becoming the third female lead, but seriously, it's a good thing Slings and Arrows is still streaming on Netflix; it's the perfect antidote for this wreck of a show.
