Saturday Night Social

Illustration for article titled Saturday Night Social

Once again, it's time for our Saturday Night Social. Between losing Bea Arthur and the swine flu outbreak, today was a pretty depressing day, news wise, so let's make this a good one, shall we?

As always, keep things light, etc. To get you started, here is a clip of Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson performing "Goodbye To You" on Kids Incorporated.

Thanks for reading and commenting today, have a safe and happy Saturday night, and I'll see you in the morning.

Meltdown Update:

I met my with the girl I formerly went out with for two months. To make a long and painful story short, she said we couldn't be together because I was too attached to her and that she didn't want to work things out.

The end of our conversation went something like this:

Me: I feel as if you're just walking away from this.

Her: I am.

Me: You're being stupid.

Her: I know. *walks away quickly*

This has been the worst week I've had all semester, which had been going pretty well, all things considered.

This week has progressed from my now ex-girlfriend telling me she needed space to telling me we weren't emotionally compatible to telling me I was idiotic for getting attached to her within two months of going out.

She also said that she'd rather we'd have no contact for a while. She said it was because she'd be interested in getting to know me as a friend, but if we continued talking now then the emotions from the breakup would still be there. I don't think she realizes that I'm just going to defer my emotions until we speak again.

By the way, Sunday starts the final two weeks of the semester in which I have at least 3 papers, 2 presentations and 2 finals exams to take care of. Ladies and gents, I am experiencing a meltdown.
