Sarah Palin Swears This Is Not A Sarah Palin Campaign Video

Sure it sounds like one and it looks like one, but everyone knows Sarah Palin's tour of East Coast historic sites had absolutely nothing to do with a potential presidential run. Sometimes a lady just likes to visit landmarks in a bus emblazoned with the Constitution and a pack of reporters in tow!

On the SarahPAC website, Palin says:

Not surprising, some members of the media missed a lot of this [patriotism and such] due to their relentless and futile search for scuttlebutt. So, we assembled this video to capture the amazing Americana spirit of the places and people we visited. I invite you to enjoy this recap of last week's east coast bus tour.

You just can't trust the "lamestream" media, so it's a good thing Palin's people cobbled together this recap, which consists almost entirely of clips from major news networks.

"We need a fundamental restoration of what's good about America."

I agree, Sarah! Remember that time our nation was founded on the basic premise of seperation of church and state? As in, laws should never be based on religious doctrine? Right. Thought so.

I'm so sick of the subtle (and often not so subtle) message from the right that liberals/democrats hate America. I'm as liberal as they come and I fucking love my country. Not everything about it, but I would never say I'm not patriotic. That Americana shit? I eat it up.

I just hate the cherry-picking of "founding fathers" values that the right chooses to employ whenever convenient to evoke feelings of nostalgia while skipping over the glaring limitations. We can respect and stay true to our constitution while recognizing that, yes, George Washington had slaves and apparently thought that was a perfectly reasonable idea.
