Rihanna Drops Her High Fashion Line This Month And We're All About to Be Broke

Back in January, it leaked that Rihanna was working on a luxury fashion line, because clearly disrupting the beauty and the lingerie industry was not enough with her! Now Rihanna has confirmed the line with LVMH and Business of Fashion reports it will be launching later this month, which means everyone should start saving now because god knows we’re all about to be broke.

With the new Fenty line, which will be based in Paris, Rihanna becomes the first woman to create an original brand at LVMH (which oversees Fendi, Celine, Dior among others), not to mention it’s the first original brand since LVMH created Christian Lacroix in 1987, and she’ll be the first black woman at the top of a LVMH house, the New York Times reports.

Musicians like Kanye might show at New York fashion week, and Drake and Sean Combs have their own brands, not to mention dozens of affordable collaborations artists might casually do with Adidas or Topshop, but Rihanna’s Fenty maison exists in a totally different lane. To have the backing and blessing of LVMH skyrockets her fashion credibility that, frankly, she’s been building for years now.
