Rick Perry Gives Wendy Davis Shit For Being a Teenage Mother

Latest

Today, Texas Governor/dangerous buffoon Rick Perry really outRicked himself when he chastised Texas Senator Wendy Davis for her marathon 12 hour pro choice filibuster, saying that because she had a child at age 19, she should have “learned from her own example.”
Oh no he fucking did not.

The comments came at the National Right to Life Convention (lolol execution & guns cheerleader Perry referring to himself as “pro life”— sorry for the momentary regression into teen textspeak, but I think Perry just broke my brain). Take it away, guy who should really go by “Dick:”

Even the woman who filibustered the Senate the other day was born into difficult circumstances. She was the daughter of a single woman, she was a teenage mother herself. She managed to eventually graduate from Harvard Law School and serve in the Texas senate. It is just unfortunate that she hasn’t learned from her own example that every life must be given a chance to realize its full potential and that every life matters.

Wow. If you’re looking for guidance on which direction in which I’d advise you’d fuck, Governor— off. Off would be a great direction in which to fuck.

I like to think I’ve got a pretty high tolerance for right wing bullshit, but Perry citing Davis’s personal life as an example of why every pregnant woman should be forced to carry her pregnancy to term at a motherfucking Right to Life conference made my jaw drop. Seriously?! That’s his pro-life argument? That Wendy Davis was able to bear a child at 19 and go on to Harvard Law School and a distinguished political career, and therefore every pregnant woman ever should do the same thing? Because God?

Davis responded to the comments, saying Perry’s remarks were “without dignity and tarnishes the high office he holds. They are small words that reflect a dark and negative point of view.” Which is politicalspeak for “Wow, you’re a real shitsack.”

Before he really got into the meat of his sanctimonious bitchiness, Perry remarked, without irony, literally hours after Texas executed its 500th person, “No life is trivial in God’s eyes.”

Jesus scoffed.
